List the iconic colors, merge the different elements literally and figuratively. Bold choices had to be made to maintain one and only one atmosphere throughout the image. The work of harmonization is crucial to create the overall impression of the Worldmap. To avoid that it looks like parts of a puzzle badly assembled and without any relation to each other, it is necessary to carefully blend the colors between them, to add elements that connect the different universes.

The invention of a global representation system is set up. Here I opted for a Japanese print-like rendering by adding the titles of the films in inserts directly in the original language. Refining even the slightest details prevents ending up with a result that looks flat, and coloring gives a certain touch that is pleasing for keen eyes. According to my feeling, the number of retouches from this moment can be infinite! The Ghibli Worldmap is one of those I am most satisfied with and I can't understand how I was touched by the grace of the drawing when I finished it.

I was delighted! Here I turn a page in the long saga of my life as an artist. I had embarked on this adventure as if to confirm the limits of my imagination and my working capacities. Conclusion: I have not yet reached my full-power mode. I can see myself doing a lot more and I was completely exhilarated and inspired at the end of this book! So this isn't the last of me.

Living as a free artist is hard every day and extremely demanding. Worse, if you want to go against the current, to resist all the destructive forces of the time or of the era, it is the very ground that you are treading on that risks collapsing. What drives a man to brave the impossible? First, there is the flame inside him, an ancestral vital force that pushes him to surpass himself, to equal himself to the whole cosmos if the opportunity arises. Then there are the friends, the family too, the people we know less but who support us with a few smiles. I keep them in my heart and I move forward!

J’étais enchanté !

Nayth is a French artist who travels all over Europe selling his illustrations. He is confident that he can realize any vision that comes through his imagination, as he has kept his childhood passion intact! He created the first Worldmap in 2018 to please the readers of his JRPG fanzine before realizing that the concept was a huge success. It was in late 2021 that he embarked on the project of making an entire series of giant illustrations based on the same principle. A year and a half later, 20 conventions under his belt, 20 drawings made by his little hands, 3 months of writing and careful layout, and a crowdfunding campaign, this book finally lands in your hands. What an emotion.

I would like to thank Guillaume, l'Esthète, Sam, Œil de lynx, Clem, le Lettré, Sina, le Rageux, Alex, mon Cuistot en chef, Issiaka, le Last Minute Man, la Nuit, my couz for his daily support and my parents!
