The duel between the two eternal rivals, Amuro Ray and Char Aznable, is iconic in the Gundam universe. Sometimes allies and sometimes enemies on the battlefield, the fight of their respective mecha, Sazabi and Gundam Nu marks the end of the original saga.

Gundam is a Japanese animation franchise that features giant robots piloted by humans, called mobile suits. Are mecha anime considered the ultimate in dehumanization in science fiction? No. Gundam, which has fascinated generations with its model kits, is primarily about the fate of men who left Earth many centuries after us to conquer space. While planet Earth suffers from the devastation caused by the hand of Man, the opening of these new frontiers does not bring the progress so hoped for. Conflicts are repeated ad infinitum and the space colonies fight for the governance of the stars against the Terran federation. However, the evolution of the human body thrown by necessity into the immensity of the cosmos brings a glimmer of hope. The Newtypes are humans capable of grasping the very essence of things at a glance, and the emergence of these individuals will turn the war between Earth and the colonies.

are the two champions from each side, they become rivals during the Zeon war of independence (original series), allied to fight the elite Titan army of the Federation in Gundam Zeta and finally confront each other one last time in a fight to the death in the movie Char’s counterattack. The series is subdivided into several other timelines that keep the Gundam as the subject of fascination like Gundam Wing, Gundam Seed or Turn A Gundam. Gundam enjoys cultural and economic popularity in Japan and in the world, which is reflected in the production of many by-products, such as manga, novels, video games or models. Mobile suit models, called Gunpla (GUNdam PLAstic model), are particularly appreciated by fans and collectors. Gundam is also a social phenomenon in Japan, where there are lifesize statues of mobile suits or museums dedicated to the franchise.
